Spanish Communicative Activity: Pastimes

Includes: 1 page of communicative questions about pastimes, 1 page of directions.

Questions and answers are a powerful way for students to get comprehensible input and serve as great prompts to practice what they’ve learned. There are several different ways to use these questions:

1. Independent practice. Students can answer the questions and use their answers in a paragraph.

2. Pair work. Students can work together asking and answering the questions, and sharing their answers with each other as a reading and speaking exercise.

3. Whole classwork. Students can quietly answer, and then it becomes a whole- class communicative activity. Use the activity as a way to get some movement in class. Students can walk around and ask different questions to people and they can write the name of the person who answered the question. I love using inside/ outside circle or two lines for this.
