Handouts on what students did during a school vacation from Real Life Language. This can be used as a review of the preterit or with students just beginning to learn how to talk about the past. These can be used for written activities or speaking activities. Use as assessments, for class starters of mini-essays.
Handout 1-Yes/no survey for vacation activities.
Handout 2-15 questions with answer starters in the yo form of the preterit.
Handout 3-15 questions without answer starters. Use for conversation, long form responses or mini-essay prompts.
Handout 4-15 questions with several answer choices. Students can read through the responses and select answers. Have them get into two lines and talk about their vacations. Every few minutes, one student moves to the back of the line and the rest move forward so there is lots of conversation with new people.
These are included in the library, along with a form in Chat Mat, presentations with and without answers and a Google Form version where you can collect answers and display the responses in visuals for more speaking prompts.
