I LOVE PicMonkey. It is a great online photo editor program that I started using earlier this year. While I have only scratched the surface on what it can do, I thought I would share so that you can see all of the possibilities for your classes as well:
I am just going to share one project I did. Basically, I created a speaking prompt and handout for absolute beginners.
- I took photos with my phone and transferred them to my computer.
- I went to Picmonkey and added the photos:
- I added the photos and used the add text feature:
4. The test will be to have the conversation.

Nice! I haven’t used PicMonkey in this way, but I often use the free program Gimp and sometimes canva.com. Here are more ideas for using stock photos to generate language in class, including a link to PicMonkey’s own post about 20 free stock photo sites: http://indwellinglanguage.com/using-stock-photo-sites-to-generate-language/
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
